Hot Days of Summer

If you have been paying attention to the weather forecast this week you will already know that Michigan has been in what we call "the dog days of summer."  It is hard for me.  I cannot take warm weather.  We do not have air conditioning.  The fans have been going all week.  Even with all of that the house has been 92 (inside) for most of the week.  It is only for a few shorts hours during the middle of the night that it has been cool enough to sleep.  Lots of liquids!

Today is different!  The humidity has gone down.  The temperatures are decent.  I have been able to walk downtown to the library with no trouble.  (Lately, I have had to cut short my walks because of difficulty breathing in heavy air.)  I am hoping that this weather contiues for a few days.

I have moved my computer out to Samantha's house.  I am hoping to be able to use it this next week.  I have missed this form of communication.  It will be good to keep up with everyone again.

I had found a cabin to "rent to own" that I dearly wanted.  It would be my own, once I got done paying for it, but now it looks like that will not happen.  I can use it for storage, and I might still do that, but apparently, I cannot live in it unless I furnish it with electricity and running water.  That was not what I wanted to do.  So...it is back to the beginning with just having a home base at Samantha's.  I continue to seek God's direction in this.  I don't want to get ahead of Him and I don't want to go in the wrong direction.  It is hard to know the next move.

Hoping your week goes well.

Rachel

I hope that the weather stays cooler for you-that is miserable. Heat combined with humidity=yuck! Here it is very hot, but not nearly as humid, and in that we are lucky. The past few days have been more humid than normal for us, and I notice such a difference in the amount of energy I have, the amount that I sweat (yuck again!) and everyone's mood. It isn't good, and I'm sorry you are dealing with it :(

You know , Rachel , I think your situation is sadly incredible . Is it possible that a woman who worked all of her live , raised a lot of children , don' t have a roof to put above her head ?
I am really sorry  and I hope some light will happen in this darkness .
When i think I posted last week about our vacation I am ashamed now when I read your post .

May God help you .
All of my support .

Love
Michel

Thanku for your support Rachel. I am praying for you. Have you moved into Samantha' ? I do feel for you with having to give up your home. I know God has a great place for you lined up real soon, in the meantime try to be patient & walk with your head high. You are a daughtetr of God & He will not fail you.

I am too struggling with house problems. Yes I have moved again as the stairs where causing too many falls etc. I like the basement flat I have moved into as I am on one level, I also have a garden. The landlady is a pain though. She has promised much but has failed to deliver. I am trusting that the Lord has my needs noted. Moving is so stressful. I really hate to hear of people like yourself that has raised a family & worked hard & is unsettled. I pray they will continue to be of comfort to you. Maybe the good Lord has allowed this to happen so that your children can serve you.

Sorry this has turned into a letter, with you in prayer. Don't stress too much as your health is a priority also.. Regards & blessings
