The Menu

The last report is that the reception went very well.  Perhaps some pictures will show up on Facebook.  I didn't have my camera (someone seems to have it).  Plenty of people to celebrate Nate and Christina's wedding.  I am finally sitting down after the last dish has been washed and put away.  It has been a long day.  I wanted to leave you with the menu for tonight.

Beef & Pork Meatballs in a Chili Sauce with Grape Jam.

Chicken Parm. w/Bowtie Pasta  - Included Pepperoni, Green & Black Olives, Parm/Regg. Cheese, Cherub Tomatoes, and the dressing was Italian.

Raspberry Lite Vin. Salad - Included Spinach, Romaine, Iceberg, Mandrian Oranges, Pineapple Chunks, Dried Cranberries, and the option of putting on crushed pecans.

Pumpkin Bread  - both plain and with walnuts.

Apple/Spice Bread with walnuts and pecans.

Spiced Honey Butter

Pumpkin/Cream Cheese Spread

"Church" Peanut Butter (the spread that Ella made)  I used it on one of the brownies and for a spread for the apple bread.

Almond/Honey filled dried fruits (dates, apricots, figs)

Brownies (three kinds - plain w/raspberry & chocolate sauce, Blond Brownies, & Pecan (like Turtle Brownies)

Punch - Pineapple, Apricot, Lemonade, Orange Juice with Vernors (GingerAle)

Candies - Maple Nut Candy, Lemon Drops, & Salt Water Taffy

Pistachios

Everything went well, except for me, the Brownies.  I should have stuck with my traditional brownie, but I wanted to have a more chewy brownie.  I think one round was too chewy, one round was too dry.  Not going to let it bug me.  Lesson learned (stick to what you know).

I am happy.  Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
There is always clean-up and I can tell you that I am so glad to have the Vicodin on hand.  It will be a quiet day tomorrow while my body recovers.
I am so glad God gave me the strength to get through it all.  He provided the sales on food, the timing to everything, and the strength for me to do it.  It was a pleasure.

Night.
Rachel
